What is Video Throwdown?
It is the ultimate arena for video battle. Whether you've got something to say or
show off, this is the place to find out if you really are as good as you think you
are. Battle other users from across the globe uploading their videos. OR just sit
back and become the ultimate video critic. Watch each video in the throwdown and
pick who you think did the better job. Spend hours honoring the truly talented and
sending those that just can't cut it back to the lockerroom.
What's with the Crazy to Serious scale?
Here at Video Throwdown, we don't discriminate. We want to see ALL the bloody battles,
from the brainiac's debating the politics of the world to the crazy stunts of the
brave and everything in between. So figure out what you're interested in viewing
by scanning through the scale.
What if I find a topic that I think is a 7 but it's a 5?
No problem. Just click on the button below the topic "Topic Rated Wrong?" and re-rate
the topic. If others agree with you, you'll see it move.
What's a Topic?
A Topic is the focus of the Throwdownthe reason for the throwdown. Some topics
are Pro/Con and some are just open-ended. Possible Pro/Con topics are: "Friendship
is more important than Money" or "Global Warming is Fake". Possible open-ended topics
are: "Best Card Trick" or "Worst Wedding Video". All topics should be sentences
that battlers can submit videos in favor of or against (for Pro/Con) or in relation
to the topic.
What's a Pro Challenge?
If you think you're up for a real Throwdown, enter a Pro Challenge. Pro Challenges
are sponsored Throwdown Topics. Because they're sponsored you have a chance to win
the Sponsor's trophy and sometimes a prize as well! WooHoo! But you better be quick,
challenges have deadlines. After the challenge the videos will run for another 5
days, then the top-rated video will be declared the winner.
How do I start a topic?
If you want to start a topic, you're really saying you want to throwdown. So click
on "Wanna Start Something?" and answer all the questions about your new Video Throwdown.
We even let you submit the first video.
How do I start a challenge?
Start a challenge is a lot like starting a topic, but with the added thrill of customizing
or designing from scratch an official VT trophy. You also have to set a deadline
(at least a week from the time the challenge starts) and you can offer a prize.
Why should I sign up as a Video Throwdown member?
Because you've got the guts to get into the ring with other videos from around the
world. You can track your videos, topics you've entered and challenges you're battling
for.
How do I know when my video will show up?
All videos are guaranteed to participate in at least 5 throwdowns. Videos are then
pitted against other videos of similar ranking to really help determine which video
is the true Throwdown king.
How do Pro/Con videos work?
Pro videos always appear in the blue corner and Con videos always appear in the
red corner. Pro videos are chosen at random to combat con videos, and vice versa.
Finally reaching the best throwdown of them all.
Why won't it let me vote?
Because we want everyone's video to get a fair shot in the throwdown ring, no one
is allowed to vote for a video until both have been watched in their entirety. This
always should help slow down ballot box stuffing and other unfair shenanigans.

How do I change my personal information?
If you want to change your avatar, address, birthday or interests and hobbies just
click on your name anywhere you see it! If you're on your HQ page or on the home
page just click on your name and change your details as necessary.
